TYPE OF OCCUPATION----- Professional Engineer in Penn. & Tenn. - Designed bridges for State of Tenn. Then worked for Alcoa as Senior Engineer and then as Construction Manager until I retired.
HOW LONG BEEN IN THE HOBBY------ Been flying glo RC for eleven years and electric RC for five years.
HOW YOU GOT STARTED IN R/C-------- Started flying Cox control line planes 50 years ago, but got dizzy after ten circles. My wife bought me a two channel RC plane 30 years ago and I crashed it on the first flight. Went to a DMAC " fly for ten minutes for $5 " and was hooked.Attended the next monthly meeting and joined eleven years ago.
PLANES YOU ENJOY ARF - BUILD UP – SCRATCH OR ELECTRIC------- I enjoy building them as much as flying them. I like to be able to put my own color combinations on the covering. I guess my favorite plane to fly would be the low wing Sky Raider. I have over twenty planes in my "Airline" and often rebuild them after a mishap
